ONE Record on the blockchain addresses the main challenges of any document-heavy industry

Our vision for ONE Record is an end-to-end distributed immutable digital record for any document-heavy industry where data is easily and transparently exchanged in a digital ecosystem. On a Private Permissioned Blockchain or the Public Permissionless Blockchain, with secure authorization enabled integrated platforms to maintain confidentiality and security. Without such implementation, the records will remain replicated and stored repeatedly by every stakeholder in the value chain.

   The ONE Record data model has been designed to be data-centric rather than document-centric. Same shipper, same consignee, same origin, same destination, same goods, etc. There is a lot of repetition.

This is why the ONE Record data model is data-centric, which means that it focuses on the common data rather than on the documents that this data may appear in. Since documents are still the basis for logistics and transport, the data model does, of course, provide for document data models as well, but only as an output and not at the centre.

  ONE Record is a standard for data sharing and creates a single record. This standard defines a common data model for the data that is shared via standardized and secured API.

The standard is based on mature but progressive data-sharing technologies that are well aligned.

• Security specification: Uses an industrywide and federated trust network to manage the identification and authentication of data sharing systems and ensures data privacy and confidentiality for all parties.
